There are many widows who inherited sizable fortunes when their husbands died. They are thus able to lead comfortable lives. There are also widows who play an active role in the enterprise their husbands left behind.
Anita Zucker falls in the latter case. She inherited her fortune from her late billionaire husband Jerry Zucker upon his death in 2008. The fortune mainly comes from InterTech Group. Her son Jonathan serves as president.
Anita is an achiever in her own right. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Florida. Anita also received a Master of Education degree from the University of North Florida in Educational Administration and Supervision. Anita owns the Carolina Ice Palace, the South Carolina Stingrays, the Original Ms. Rose’s Fine Food and Cocktails, and Tristan restaurant on Market Street.
A resident of Charleston, South Carolina, she is a past President of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, and of The Education Foundation of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.
